Rob Roy McGregor was an outlaw and folk legend whose antics across the Trossachs were famously portayed on the silver screen by Liam Neeson.

We travel through his stomping ground and pay a visit to the Rob Roy & Trossachs Visitor Centre in Callander before paying our respects at his graveside in Balquidder.

Another famous figure from Scotland’s past is William Wallace, made famous in the blockbuster Braveheart.

On this tour we will visit The Wallace Monument, Stirling’s famous landmark which stands above the fields where William Wallace led his troops to victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge and tells the story of the patriot and martyr who became Scotland’s National Hero.

Doune Castle is a 14th Century Castle with a striking 100ft high gatehouse and one of the best preseved great halls in Scotland.

It was also used as the setting for Castle Leoch in popular TV drama Outlander.

Loch Katrine and surrounding areas are steeped in history and is recognised as the favoured and much loved setting of some of Sir Walter Scott’s most famous poetic works, as well as boasting links to Scottish legend Rob Roy MacGregor.

We visit Loch Katrine and cruise along its length on board The Lady of the Loch or Rob Roy III.
